Do I need to make an appointment to try on haute couture and bridal gowns?
Yes, at House of Gilles, our haute couture and bridal gowns are individually crafted, ensuring a highly personalized experience. We recommend booking an appointment with Gilles and Chloé so that they can guide you through the collection and assist you in creating the perfect gown.
Are there customization options for House of Gilles Haute Couture and bridal gowns?
Absolutely. At the heart of House of Gilles is our dedication to bespoke couture. Each Haute Couture and bridal gown is meticulously crafted and can be customized to reflect your personal vision, whether it’s adjustments in silhouette, fabric, or unique detailing.
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes, if you are unable to visit us in person, we are happy to arrange a virtual appointment. This allows you to explore our Haute Couture and bridal collection and discuss your vision with Gilles and/or Chloé Mendel from anywhere in the world. We also offer full service concierge and can travel to you.
What should I bring to my appointment?
It’s helpful to send any inspiration you may have, including mood boards, favorite fabrics, or accessories in advance of your appointment via email.
What if my wedding or event is less than 6 months away?
We are committed to making even the most urgent requests a reality. If you need a rush gown, don’t hesitate to reach out to us—we’re here to make magic happen.
Do you offer made-to-order bridal or evening wear?
Yes, alongside our Couture collections, House of Gilles offers made-to-order evening and bridal gowns. These gowns are available with a lead time of 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the design. For clients with shorter timelines, rush services can be arranged upon request. We require initial measurements for all made-to-order pieces, along with one fitting prior to delivery to ensure a perfect fit.
Do you offer alterations?
Alterations are charged separately and are priced depending on the work requested, along with the length of time it takes to complete the alterations at the studio. Further information regarding alterations will be provided when placing an order. Subject to availability
How far in advance should I book my appointment?
For the best experience, we suggest booking your haute couture or bridal appointment at least two weeks in advance h. This ensures that we have availability and can dedicate the appropriate time to your consultation.
When should I place my order for a Haute Couture or bridal gown?
Our intimate atelier offers the flexibility to meet your needs, regardless of the timeline.
How many fittings will I need?
A minimum of two or three fittings are typically required. However, more fittings will be scheduled if necessary. A suggested timeline will be communicated from the very start.
